Why YOU Should Conserve WATER

How would YOU like it if a giant came to your house and took away all the water in your swimming pool or in your water bottle? You probably wouldn't like it very much. That's how animals would feel if we used up all their water. If you don't want to experience this, don't make anyone else. By saving water, you are helping everyone around you.

Have you ever thought about how much water you use each day? Well, an average person uses from 100-200 gallons a day. That's a lot!  Some people conserve water in several ways, such as: taking a five minute shower, watering plants and gardens at night, and turning off the water when brushing your teeth. If you're not one of these people, you should start saving water now! You may think that we have a lot of water on Earth because it's the blue planet, but most of that water is not fresh water. Only 1% of Earth's water can be used by humans. Knowing that, there are about 8 billion people in the world, each using about 36,500 gallons of water a year. So, remember, if you save water, we will have a bright future with enough water for everyone. SAVE WATER!!!

Only one percent of Earth's water is unfrozen and usable. If we do not save it, we would take away life from future generations. Many of us use too much water without thinking about it. If we continue to do this, Earth may look like any other planet without life. Also, as our population grows, more and more people are using up this limited resource. In some parts of the world,  people don't even have clean water to drink.  In fact,

roughly 884 million people — 1 of every 8 in the world — still lack access to safe drinking water, according to the World Health Organization and UNICEF. If we keep wasting, we all wouldn't be able to use water for our daily needs. Therefore, it is important that we use our water wisely and not waste it.

Do you use water? Of course you do! You use about 100-200 gallons of water each day. If you didn't have this water you wouldn't be able to live, so you must conserve it. You use water for many everyday things when you don't even know that you are using it. It is used for things such as bathing, cleaning, cooking, drinking, and more. If you don't conserve water, you won't have any in the future to use for your everyday needs. I hope you have learned that you must conserve water to keep a clean and healthy Earth for YOU and others.
